Lookiero Online Personal Shopper - An Honest review

I've been patiently awaiting my package for 2 reasons -
1 - I LOVE the idea of someone else picking clothes for me
2 - I have NEVER done a personal shopper experience before
So today my parcel arrived, and I decided to do a review - of the WHOLE experience!.. including photos of me in the items!
So why did I even sign up for a personal shopper experience? Honestly .. FACEBOOK!
you know those little ads that land on your feed... well Lookiero showed up on mine, and I read the reviews and all the guff that is there to sucker you in and I decided... whats the harm, so below is the whole experience, from logging on initially, to receipt of items onwards!
Firstly - Who are Lookiero?
Lookiero are a clothing personal shopper website who offer you a shopping experience online...
it appears to have numerous countires under its belt, with UK being one of them.
Hidden costs?
no hidden costs...there is a £10 personal stylist fee however Your first order gives you this for free!
So What Do You do?
Its pretty easy, you sign up and answer some style based questions to build up your own profile
the initial questions are varied (although can be vague)... i.e your sizing and body shape, your preference of clothing styles, and what you specifically are looking for clothes for e.g. work, casual, evening wear... as well as asking you to select from photos of different styles your preferred choices... it also gives you a section to leave note to your stylist with any extra info.. I used this place to say I generally prefer wider legged trousers and don't really do frilly clothes. haha ...a ncie touch was that you coudl upload up to 4 photos of yourself for your stylist to see your style also.
You can also choose what items you don't want to receive - Tops, blouses, jackets/coats, bags, shoes, trousers, skirts or dresses. *These are the ones I checked off that I didnt want
I then selected the earliest delivery date (11th July) and entered my bank card details (which would be charged for any items I kept at the end of the process (No initial charegs are taken)
My thoughts so far...
To be honest... I wasn't very confident that I'd like any items but just interested to see what was chosen, I'm quite picky with clothes and because my body shape is just not I'm happy with I wasn't sure what would be sent., i'm kind of between trouser sizes but because i'm triyng to lose weight I went with UK size 10 for trousers
DELIVERY DAY
I was emailed and messaged on Monday 9th to advise DPD would deliver my item on wednesday and then this morning, I received a text with delivery time (1 hour block)
so the Lookiero box was inside a clear plastic delivery bag with handle.
Upon opening I was greeted with several info cards and 2 nicely wrapped clothing parcels
as well as I card with a personalised note from my stylist Alexa with info on the items in the box... the nice touch to this was, she had selected some items and told me to pair them with the chunky block sandals I had worn in 2 of the pictures I'd uploaded... this made me feel she had actually looked at my images, tried to match my style and put thought into her selections.
This note also told me I could pair several of the items together, and why she'd chosen these particular items.
THE ITEMS... I've put a generic photo beside each item, but view the gallery at the bottom of the postto see me in the items!
Objbay Shirt dress in truffle from OBJECT - Size 8 (XS) £48
I knew instantly that although ths was a lovely quality material... the shape was all wrong for my shape atm, all my weight is on my hips, bum and thighs and I'm very conscious of shirt style dresses.ALexa's note said the fit would style my silhouette but I just wasn't feeling it. I did love the colour and material of the dress, just to hip hugging for me!, Also £48 is just too expensive for me!
It is a lovely round hemmed dress, lovely soft material (will wrinkle like crazy obviously) but cute colour... just not the right style for me sadly.
this was a EU size 34 (so about a size UK 8, a UK 10 would still have been too clingy for my liking.
Isabella Zipped Ankle Cigarette Pants from FREEQUENT size small - 30% off £31.47 (RRP £44.95
Again, not my preferred style. the stylist paired these with a top (also not to my taste) and although they fitted ok (actually a tad loose on the waist and hips) I wouldn't wear them often so they'll be going back... these would be cute with heels... but I didnt like that they had zips in the inside ankles... baffled me a bit
NUMPH Clarisa Pullover knit size Small - 30% off £26.60 (RRP £38)
This was a lovely fit of knitwear however it felt a little too 'old' for me.
The colours are nice but it had a shimmery/glittery look to it which I'm not keen on!... all in all it matched the navy trousers well but wouldnt be my taste. I could see this item for sale in Harrisons, Benetton or somewhere like that.
CERISE BLUE Love T-Shirt size small 30% off £18.38 (RRP £26.25)
I was sent this gorgeous little t-shirt and advised to pair it with the last item i'll show
its a pale pink/coral colour and a lovely thick quality material, I have to admit I didn't really like it paired with what is easily my fav item in the box but as a standalone product its lovely... i'm in 2 minds as to whether to keep it though as I feel that event with the 30% reduction... £18 for a Tshirt is just a bit overkill for me!
VILA Viesto Printed pants size S - £35
I knew I'd love these the minute I saw the style card with them on it... they are a gorgeous flowy soft and light material, a purpley blue shaded printed trousers with elasticated waist and pockets... my only reservation was that they're a size small but they fit well (and with weight off will be even lovelier!)
Price wise they're still expensive enough for my cheaper tastes but I'd say well worth £35 (sadly not in sale)

How do I return the items or make a purchase?
So its simple enough ... once you decide what you want to keep (if anything) you log on to your Lookiero account, and you select a click button beside each item you don't want ... and you fill in details on the style, sizing, cut etc and can also write comments
You deselect if you want to keep an item.
They offer you 25% off if you keep all 5 items (however this 25% is only off new season clothes, so 3 of my items were sale which didnt apply so my total was £159.45 originally and then 25% off two new season items reduced it by £20.75 to £138.70.
This is probably a good deal for the quality of the items, however only 2 items I really liked, and they would total £53.38.
Within the package was a pre-labelled (prepaid) postage bag and you just return the items you don't want (which you've stated on your online account) yout have 5 days from delivery to do this otherwise you're charged for all items)
When you've clicked the items you're keeping (or returning) you select confirm however I don't know if you're charged immediately or not until the returned items are received as I havent quite decided if i'm keeping the Tshirt yet!
How would I rate it?
All in all I was plesantly surprised. Whilst there were only 2 items I would consider keeping... the service did feel personalised, and it was an easy process in general. I was certain I would be sent awful quality items and whilst the prices weren't horrendous... some items were pricey enough!
I do LOVE the wide legged pants and can't wait to wear them (when the sun reappears)
