Fitspo!

So Sunday saw me complete 8 days of the 30 day challenge with 'The Betty Rocker'

Below is the breakdown for week 1 - each workout lasted about 15-16 minutes. i'll not list each exercise or we'd be here all day but it was basically sets of exercises over a time period (30-45 secs)

Day 1 - Full body workout - SO TOUGH - first day and I realized how out of shape I've become

Day 2 - Hot Abs - left my abs burning all of the next day

Day 3 - Full Body Explosion - explosive cardio movements - sweated buckets

Day 4 - Yoga stretch - this was a lovely session (which was tough don't get me wrong)

Day 5 - Tabata Cardio - I really enjoyed this session, it was during warm weather so I was roastin'

Day 6 - Upper Body - I tweaked my shoulder lifting heavy catering equipment during the day at a work event and was in agony so skipped this session, did get a good dog walk in though!

Side note, following my shoulder injury I had to work for 2 days at events that sort of ate into my personal time (particularly as one was on Saturday) by the time I got home and had dinner I was pretty sore...I did spend the evening absolutely blasting our bedroom which was a mess, I shifted furniture (bed included) and hoovered and dusted and cleaned like a boss, and felt that counted as a workout, so I combined Day & and day 8 and did both on Sunday)

Day 7 - Lower Body - Heavy leg work which I then finished off with ->

Day 8 - Yoga Stretch - This was a series of 20 sun salutations followed by some seated breathing exercises. it ended the weekend nicely!

On Monday I had a GB officers planning meeting that ran late then came home to a sick pup so didn't work out, so this evening I'll do days 9 &10 to make up for that.

I took my before pictures for The Betty Rocker programme, which is hateful because its not flattering to see mthe weight i'm carrying atm, but it also is an incentive to get the weight off!, we were told to take pictures again 1 week in (we may not see a huge difference but should do it anyway) so I'll post those at the end of this blog.

Eating wise I havent done anything exceptional. I havent been following WW and actually plan to switch to a new plan that my mum and sister are currently doing as its really just a sensible eating plan. I'll be starting that this weekend when my plan documents arrive.

We ordered a soup/smoothie maker which literally arrived yesterday so I started my day with a fruit and greek yoghurt smoothie this morn. My plan is to substitute a smoothie/shake for breakfast or lunch every weekday.

Additional Exercise:

Isn't this weather just gorgeous?... the only thing is I don't get the same level of dog walks done... its just too warm for Annie to take long walks, even in the late evening... so we do about a mile and that's it. Because of some evening work I missed Boogie Bounce for a couple of weeks and the tutor is on hols now so i'm booked to start back for Saturdays from next week. I'm also going to start a new dance fusion class at my local leisure centre but not until the week after next as next week is my church Holiday Bible club which i'm helping at... so 30 day plan will be my only exercise really for the next week...also my fitbit versa gave up whilst on hols and I returned it for a refund and I cant beloeve how much the fitbit inspired me to move about. I'm saving for a replacement as I used the refund to pay a deposit for our 2019 Holiday... but thats for another blog post :p

The big photo reveal

So I haven't weighed myself in about 4 weeks and don't plan to until I start the new food plan! I don't see any change over one week so this photo is from when I started the exercise routine last week, hopefully with better eating the final photo will show a change (even a small one)

I know that we all have parts of us we don't hate, I don't feel I was blessed lookswise (in any shape or form anyway...I'm thankful for my health etc so i'm no longer hosting my own pity party about this!!) at 34 i've realised that being my looks won't change now beyond my body shape and thats ok!... but the weight I've gained around my hips, bum and tummy needs sorted!

Thanks everyone for support and comments, it's been lovely to re-start my blogging with people being so nice!
